Nothing says summer in Maine like sunshine, 70 degrees, and a day of family fun. Last Saturday we headed to Orland for the 44th Annual Orland River Day celebration.
Every summer the town of Orland comes together (rain or shine) to celebrate the river and the start of summer. For the past three years, we've been at the Orland River Days and when the organizers reached out this year we knew we couldn't miss it!
This year's celebration included a parade, food vendors, crafts, and a "Downeast" raft race.
We took in the parade and had a great time connecting with some familiar faces and introducing ourselves to new friends!
In July you can catch us at the Orrington Old Home Week celebration from July 12 - 21. We'll be manning the SedgeunkeDUCK Regatta and BBQ - stop by on July 14 to watch the ducks cruise down the river and don't forget to adopt your duck at the fishway starting at 10:30 a.m.!
Keep an eye on our website to find out where we'll be next!
